33、It's Mine
As two boys were passing the rectory, the minister leaned over
the wall and showed them a ball.
"Is this yours?" he asked
"Did it do any damage?" asked one of the boys.
"No." replied the minister.
"Then it's mine !"
是我的
两个男孩经过教区长的住宅，牧师斜靠在墙边，给他们看一个球。
"这是你们的吗？"他问。
"它闯了什么祸吗？"其中一个男孩问。
"没有。" 牧师回答说。
"那这个球是我的！"

34、Ask Time
Two boys camping out in a backyard wanted to know the time,
so they began singing at the top of their voices.
Eventually one of the neighbours threw open his window and shouted
down at them "Hey, less noise!, don't you know it's three
o'clock in the morning!"
问时间
两个在后院露营的男孩想知道时间，他们开始用最大嗓音唱歌。
终于一个邻居推开窗户，冲他们大喊：“嗨，小声点！难道你们不知道现在才凌晨三点钟吗！”

Mum: What are you doing ，son?
Boy: Writing my brother a letter.
Mum: That's a lovely idea, dear, but why are you writing so slowly?
Boy: Because he can't read very fast!

儿子：因为他读不快呀！
